Like so many Canadian families, hockey is a big part of our lives.

Early mornings, late nights, cold arenas, and countless hours spent watching our kids do what they love. If you’re a hockey parent, you know the routine. The equipment bags, the skates, the sticks, the rush to get out the door, and the occasional realization that something important has been left behind.

The water bottle.

It’s such a small thing, but when your child is dressed in full hockey gear and ready to hit the ice, realizing their water bottle is sitting at home can be incredibly frustrating.

Of course, you can buy a bottle of water at the concession. But anyone who’s watched a young hockey player try to drink from a regular disposable water bottle through a helmet cage knows it’s not exactly easy.

And that’s where the idea began.

I remember thinking, why isn’t there a simple attachment that turns an ordinary bottle of water into a sports bottle?

Something small enough to throw in a hockey bag. Something reusable. Something that could turn a frustrating moment into a simple fix.

That little question became the beginning of TurboTop™.

Turning an Idea Into Reality.

What started as a simple idea quickly became something I couldn’t stop thinking about.

I began researching, sketching, designing, and working through the challenges of creating a lid that could attach to an everyday disposable water bottle.

There were countless hours spent exploring designs, developing prototypes, and figuring out how to make something that was practical, comfortable, and easy to use.

I wanted more than just another bottle cap. I wanted to create something that could genuinely make life easier for families like ours.

As the design developed, so did the possibilities. What began as a solution for hockey players could be useful for all kinds of sports, outdoor activities, and everyday adventures.

It wasn’t created in a big corporate boardroom. It started with a hockey parent, an everyday frustration, and the belief that sometimes the simplest ideas can make the biggest difference.

Today, TurboTop™ is a patent pending design built around convenience, reusability, and making hydration easier wherever life takes you.

And while the journey from an idea to a real product has been anything but simple, the reason behind it has never changed.
